WorkPlace Consultants is celebrating over 10 years of business and is proud to provide the Akron and Greater Cleveland area with high quality service in many arenas. The founders; Linda Kelly, Sylvia Newman and Donna Young feel their success is largely due to a simple but effective concept: “Treat people with respect”. They were confident the combination of the skills they had mastered in their respective fields would blend into the recipe that would meet the demands they saw in the marketplace. That match became WorkPlace Consultants.
With a foundation of human resource, medical management and financial background, they have a strong emphasis in the areas of medical billing, management, home health and staffing.

WorkPlace Staffing is the largest division which has shown a 20-percent growth each year over the last six years. What sets them apart from most services is that they specialize in career placement of office support, financial/accounting, customer service, medical and middle management positions. According to Kerry Ilkanic, Executive Director and Certified Staffing Professional, “We are Placement Consultants, not just staffing associates. We align ourselves with a selective group of companies that pride themselves on a commitment to excellence. We look for culture fit, stability, skills and superior references before we work with anyone. We believe the hiring process is a partnership between us, the client and the candidate. Consistent high quality searches are what our clients and candidates depend on and that is what we give them every time.”
“Being placement oriented we literally separate excellence from mediocre. Our job is to surface candidates from 100% of the market, not just 6% of the unemployed. Many of our candidates are referrals from previous applicants; that see we treat them differently from the typical staffing firm.”
WorkPlace Staffing Services is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the American Staffing Association. They align themselves with the organization’s guidelines established for education, ethics and laws. What we do affects the community and peoples lives long term.” said Ilkanic. “I’ve been in the industry 18 years and I am very proud to be in an organization that treats people with respect, not just like another number. WorkPlace is not only a great place to work for but also to work with! “
